COLUMBIA RECORDS

One day, out of the blue, I received a call from the Dixie Chicks’ manager. He told me they were doing a new record, and they really liked my work, especially with Madonna. They said it looked expensive. Soon I was on a plane to NYC, invited to see them live at Madison Square Garden, front row, center. Their performance blew me away. We met in LA the next week to plan the project. They were on top of their game and their branding had to reflect this. They wanted a new image. More sophisticated. More classic. Personal and reflective of their lives. The record was Home. The sepia tone vibe gave the package its warmth and personality. Then lots of details. Maps, sewing stitches, beads, and dried flowers. I wanted it to feel like their journal. Our first outing together earned me a third Grammy. Home sweet home.
